3D Fiber Mascara- Worth the hype?

Hello everyone!
I had heard rave reviews about this mascara from many people so naturally, I got it!
I have seen different brand names with the same packaging but bought this one at my salon in Montreal.
As you can see there are 2 products inside and must be applied to give you the false-lash effect.

You can use it with or without your regular mascara but I would reommend using it with. It does have a dramatic effect if you use it properly. You should do one eye at a time.
Here's the step-by-step process:

1. Apply a coat of mascara and immediately apply a generous coat of Transplanting Gel
2. Before the gel can dry, apply a generous coat of Natural Fibers to the lashes. The more you apply, the           darker the effect.
3. Apply another coat of the Transplanting Gel (which seals in the fibers)


The product is water resistant yet washes off with warm water and facial cleanser.

Hello everyone. More beautiful stuff acquired in Montreal. I love shopping there and discovering niche brands. This time I bought a Sephora lipstick for the first time and let me tell you that it now is my favourite of all, including MAC!

Ombre Velours Supreme (Rose The Velours) - Lise Watier

I have been using this brand for years but I haven't bought anything in a while. When their fall display was up at Pharmaprix, I couldn't resist the new eyeshadows. This is not exactly a powder nor a liquid eye shadow. It's something between the two which is super convenient for everyday make up. You can keep this in your bag and apply either with your finger or the little applicator it comes with. I personally prefer using my finger as I find it applies so evenly that way and the colour shows more on the eyelid. I have tried many eye shadows like this before but I was always disappointed as it would get into the crease and look horrible. This one, however, is fabulous. It goes on smooth and stays on evenly for hours. It does not get into the crease and if you want it a little darker, you can apply a darker eyeshadow over it or buy it in a different shade. Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm - Burt's Bees

At Pharmaprix I couldn't leave without buying a lip balm for the upcoming winter months. I had previously tried their tinted lip balms so I knew they were amazing. I decided to try this shade as it is perfect for fall. Their lip balms never let you down as they moisturize your lips with all natural ingredients and this one offers a bit of colour as well. It isn't sticky and smells really nice. There are many shades to choose from as well.If you haven't tried Burt's Bees lip balms, now is the perfect time. $7.99 CD + tax burtsbees.ca

Rouge Shine Lipstick(n 30) - Sephora

I love shopping at Sephora especially in downtown Montreal at the store in Complexe Les Ailes. The store is so cool and has other brands there that aren't available at their other stores. This shade caught my eye on the display near the doorway walking in. I tried it on my hand. It's a lovely coral colour which is so beautiful for women of all ages. I find it makes your complexion look brighter and more youthful. It has a creamy texture and lasts long enough. I love how it feels on the lips. You barely feel it and your lips are hydrated enough and look so 'full' sephora.com

Lip and Cheek pencil (Sin) - Nudestix

I had tried this brand in the spring through Cult Beauty and loved it. I use thick lip pencils all the time. The brand I used to use no longer makes them so Nudestix was an impulse purchase. It's so handy to carry and use. It can be used alone or as a lip liner under lipstick. I am in love with it and went to Sephora at Complexe Les Ailes mall because I knew the products were available there. I couldn't wait to see them all. I saw this colour and loved the bright fuscia pink. Of course I bought it. It comes with a sharpener in a cute,black tin with a build in mirror. It's so handy to have it either in the car or in your bag and fill it with some make up. The brand also has face concealers in a pencil. Check them out $28 CD + tax sephora.ca

MAC Cosmetics in Montreal

I know it's been a while but September is a busy month for me. After my fantastic trip in Montreal I didn't really have much time to show you what I bought there. Today I'll share my MAC purchase with you. Of course MAC was a Canadian company so when I discovered it in the mid-nineties, I fell in love! I've been using their make up since and I'm a huge fan of their lipsticks and face powders. I love the scent of their lipsticks. It's a vanilla type scent. The truth is I haven't used anything from their skincare line so I really don't know if that's as good.

Amplified Creme Lipstick - Craving

The bottom lipstick in the photo. This is a beautiful light 'Barbie' pink lipstick. It's really smoothe and lasts a long time. It lastes about 4 hours before you need to reappy it. I use either a light or dark lip liner with it to get it to the colour I want. It's great to use alone for a natural look or blend it with another colour if you're a little daring. Cremesheen Lipstick - Hot Gossip

Another amazing lipstick. The cremesheen lipsticks are my favourites. I do prefer them more despite the fact that I need to apply it often throughout the day. This colour is a sheer, light pink shade with a bit of a shimmer. I would recommend using it with a lipliner to get either a lighter or darker effect. You can blend this one too with any other lipstick to give it a more frosty look. You can see it here.

Prep & Prime BB Beauty Balm SPF 35

All-time favourite BB cream! I have to say WOW!!!! I have been using tinted moisturizers for years but because I don't like wearing anything heavy now that I'm older, a BB is perfect. I have bought BB creams before but this is The One! It's like a tinted moisturizer with a little more coverage and a sunscreen. It evens out skin tone and doesn't clog pores. In summer, I do use a little face powder with it on my T-zone to eliminate shine. I highly recommend this BB cream if you're shopping around. There are many shades to choose from. I had to mention this product I bought today. I've been using it for 3 years now and since I am in Montreal, I just had to stock up. So I bought 2. The price is $25 CAD each. Available at Uniprix and selected pharmacies.
The Modele Collagen Lip Treatment is an absolute necessity for anyone who wants or needs fuller lips. There are other similar lip treatments, but this one is tried and tested. It is a moisturizing lip balm containing collagen which enhances lip volume. It is clear and can be used under a lipstick or alone as a night treatment , which is how I use it. I don't particularly like the scent of it but who cares?! It gives volume which you can see within a week. Use it every night and let me know!

July shopping in Montreal- LUSH

Hello! Bonjour from Montreal! It's been a fabulous summer filled with pool days and shopping in this great city. I love being here among the great shopping centers and outlets! My first stop was at Lush at Carrefour Laval. The service was amazing! Here's what I got.

Ginger and Fennel Sugar scrub

This product has been my favourite for cellulite ever since I tried it last year. It's green and in a semi-circular shape. I love how easy it is and how fresh and invigorating it feels. You don't use it under running water but rather wet it a bit and take a small amount and rub it all over your skin. Massage well and then rinse off. It isn't harsh on the skin but smooth and pleasant. It has an 'ocean' smell. I use it almost every day before using soap. $6.25 (100 gr)

Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub

I got this because the sales person said I can also use it on my face unlike the sugar scrub above. I really do like it as well. It really is amazing on the face and body. You use it like any scrub on wet skin and massaging in a circular motion before rinsing off. The sea salt leaves the skin feeling so soft and clean. The texture is creamy. I love it especially for oily skin. It is better than the sugar scrub but also a lot more expensive. $22-$36 depending on the size. The one displayed in the picture was from a gift box in a special size.

Stepping Stone Foot Scrub

This is the scrub shaped like a foot - obviously! I got this as summer requires a lot of foot care when wearing sandals. I love giving myself a pedicure and massaging feet with a good scrub is a must. This scrub did not live up to its expectations. I must admit I like really tough scrubs so feet are extra soft. This scrub is not as 'abrasive'. I have to use a big amount as it melts away too quickly. My feet are soft afterwards but it doesn't work so well on heels where it's needed the most. $4.50

Bohemian Soap

This soap should be called Lemon soap! It really has a strong lemon scent! Overpowering! However, the soap really does wonders for oily skin. The lemon juice is a natural astringent making your skin really clean. It foams up well and the smell doesn't last long on the skin-thankfully! $7.50 (100 gr)

African Paradise Body Conditioner

Have you ever heard of a body conditioner? Neither had I until seeing it on display in the store. The truth is I wanted a body lotion and the sales person gave me this saying I could use it as a lotion too. I have used it on rough patches on the skin and it works well. In the shower though, I didn't like it. You basically apply it like a cream after soaping and then rinse off. I didn't like how my skin felt afterwards. On my arms I felt like I had to rinse it off a lot as it felt 'heavy'.I do recommend it after shaving legs and especially for those of you who are doing laser hair removal (like me) as your legs need constant moisturizing. $39.95 (250 gr)

Vanilla Dee-lite Body Lotion

This is the sample I got in the little pot. I got 2 of them! I really loved it! It has to be among the best body lotions I've ever used! It's light, absorbs quickly without a 'greasy' feel. The scent is a discreet, fresh vanilla scent  which anyone can use ( including people who don't like vanilla). I do recommend it to anyone looking for a body lotion! I LOVE it! Yes I will be buying it soon despite the price! $27.95 (250 ml)

E.COUDRAY - Jacinthe et Rose Eau de Toilette

I had a sample of this and at first I  must admit that I didn't really like it. Then one day I actually tried it on and I changed my mind. It has such a fresh, clean, feminine scent.Top notes are vodka, peach, hiacinth, and orange. Middle notes are peony, orange blossom, ylang-ylang and rose. Base notes are sandalwood, musk, vanilla, vetiver and cedar.I love using it after my morning shower. It's great for during the day and perfect for spring and summer. www.coudray-parfumeur.com

MARIO BADESCU - Glycolic Foaming Cleanser

I've been using this since last year after trying it from Glowbox. This foaming cleanser is ideal for the summer if your skin is a bit dry. In winter I use it once a week It has glycolic acid which exfoliates the skin and clears up dullness. I LOVE this product! Your skin feels so clean and fresh after using this in the morning. I also use it after removing make-up because I feel that it really cleans off all the excess left after a cleansing milk. I would, however, recommend using a sample first to see how it feels on your skin.

CAUDALIE - Moisturizing Sorbet

This product is recommended for sensitive skin. I had tried a sample after purchasing a few products a few months ago because I had been looking for a 'light' moisturizing cream for spring and summer. The thing with Caudalie is that I like everything I've ever bought from them! This is no exception. The cream is very light and does not clog pores or feel greasy. It has somehow made my skin more resilient and less sensitive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something to use in summer. caudalie.com

KORRES - Cucumber Eye Mask 

This cute little tube was something I got at a pharmacy on this wonderful stand full of small-sized goodies. Korres has recently launched these face masks and scrubs in small sizes perfect for travelling. This is a gel you use around the eye area for about 10 minutes and then rinse. It helps reduce puffiness under the eyes and leave the skin feeling hydrated. I would recommend keeping it in the fridge because it's more effective to use if it's cold. korres.com

May Glowbox

I just love it when Glowbox has a Fresh Line exclusive box! As soon as I heard about it, I ordered it!
Inside there's a mojito shower gel, Poseidon body splash, Aphrodite Body Sculpture Serum, Hephaestus Face Emulsion Sunblock SPF15 and Terpsichore solid shampoo.
So far I tried the sunblock which smells divine and the Body Sculpture Serum. I can't wait to try the rest. Unfortunately there was no discount coupon in the box this time!

Hello! After spring cleaning my make up bags and cupboards, I couldn't imagine how much had accumulated that needed to be thrown away. So many old lipsticks and eye shadows had to go...to make way for new ones! I needed a new concealer and my Estee Lauder serum to start.

I had discovered a little local store by a make up artist with only a couple of brands inside and decided to take a look. After trying a few colours, I noticed that a lot of them looked really different when you put them on. Of course I had to try something! I love trying new brands so a lipstick was the obvious choice. I do regret buying such a nude shade because I have to use a lipliner all over first. I then realised that the older I get, the more colour I need as using a nude shade washes me out. Dior - Diorskin Star Concealer : Shade 001

After a certain age (35+) I'd say investing in a good concealer is a must. Liquid concealers are the way to go. They have illuminating properties, don't clog your pores or show wrinkles. I decided to try this one as the sales clerk said there was a 25% discount. I tried it on as soon as I got home. I am very happy with this purchase. It does illuminate and you do look more refreshed. I didn't think it could deliver on its promises but I was wrong. Thankfully! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to change their old concealer. www.dior.com

Estee Lauder Idealist - Pore Minimizing Skin Refinisher

Having tried a sample of this in one of those gift-with-purchase bags, I knew that what had been missing in my skin care routine was finally found. I will rave about this product! 'Excellent' does not describe how amazing it is! It does everything it says: reduce pores, flakiness and redness. It gives you an even skin tone and is amazing to use with make up. I think it makes your skin feel more youthful and look more relaxed. It's great to use with make up because it looks so professional afterwards. You really do see a difference from before. Penhaligon's London

This was THE purchase in London! After seeing a documentary on TV about Penhaligon's, I decided that I had to visit this store. I went to their Burlington Arcade store and the experience was wonderful. The staff had placed small handkerchiefs in this beautiful silver vase outside the store with Ostara perfume and the scent was amazing. Once I was inside the decor was so beautiful and vintage. The blend of fragrances was heavenly!
The staff was so polite and friendly! They were incredible! After trying on a few perfumes, I decided on Cornubia. It's a classic, something that can be worn at any age.

Hello! Yes I was in London last weekend and it was great! I didn't have enough time to really go shopping so I got what was on my list! I went straight to Kiko as I desperately needed a face powder.

Compact Mineral Powder - Kiko Milano

As I mentioned I needed a face powder because my other was finished so I decided to give it a try as their prices are really reasonable. I got it after trying it on, of course! I have to say that I didn't like using it on its own. There wasn't enough coverage and I didn't like the way my skin looked - dull and kind of flat. However, once applied with a foundation I found it to be satisfactory as it reduces the shine on my T-zone and forehead. So yes, use it with a foundation.

Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipstick - Kiko Milano

This is my second Kiko lipstick and the truth is that I couldn't resist not buying a lipstick because you can never have enough. This line is glossy and moisturizing which is why I prefer it to a matte lipstick. It's great if you apply a lipliner all over your lip because it lasts longer. The colour can also change if you use a slightly darker shade. I like this lipstick and look forward to trying another type from Kiko. Honestly, the store was just too crowded on Regent's to look any longer.

Shea Body Butter - The Body Shop

While in London I had really dry patches on my hands. It was quite uncomfortable and the lotion I had brought with me wasn't doing enough. I headed to the Body Shop to get a body butter and got the shea one because it's so moisturizing and smells so good. It did the trick! I love their body butters!

Tempted?!! I know that most women surf the net to find out all about the new products coming out on the market. While doing that, I found this UK site selling niche brands that I hadn't really heard of before. I had been surfing for a while through their site and decided to give it a try. The transport was quick as I had everything within 4 business days and it came in this box. There was a sample of a toner by Aesop which I liked. There were supposed to be 2 samples with my purchase but there was some kind of problem when I clicked on the other product and I didn't get it. I was informed by email that I would get it on my next purchase.

Convertible Colour (Petunia) - Stila

This is so cute. I love the packaging! It has a little mirror that you can use and the compact is simply adorable! I have to say that I love it as a lip gloss because the bright coral shade looks amazing with my white skin. I do use a retractable lip brush though because I find the colour too sheer if applied with a finger. It's great to use now with spring on the way. I had never heard of this brand but I needed a pencil like that as I use it all the time under lipsticks and lip glosses and find them super handy. This is an amazing product and the colour is a natural lip colour allowing you to apply any shade on top. You can use it alone for a nude look and lasts long too. Lip gloss (Malibu) - Jouer Cosmetics

Another niche brand with a variety of cosmetics. I had to try this shade of lip gloss because I wanted something fuschia. It is a great lip gloss which isn't sticky at all. It lasts just like a regular lip gloss but the colour is quite sheer so you have to use a lip pencil all over your lips for a more intense look.

Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

I finally have this in my hands after a long wait!!! OK maybe not that long a wait! I saw this online a few weeks ago and I knew I had to have it. Viva Glam Miley Cyrus was available at MAC stores in Greece last Friday. I love this hot pink and just can't wait to wear it!

Demetra Skin Salve Remedy Face & Body Wash

I use this as a face wash in summer because I have oily skin with redness. It is very effective and soothing. It's perfect if you have this condition. It lathers up nicely and has a sweet fragrance that is a bit strong.However, I don't use it in winter because I find it a bit drying. It can also be used as a body wash as it has antibacterial and antiseptic qualities. It contains calendula, elderflower, yarrow and chamomile essential oil.

I recently purchased this product to combine it with the face cream I've been using a while. It is an INCREDIBLE toner! I can't stress it enough! It is amazing to use after a cleanser, mask or even just to remove make up. Ideal for dry skin (like mine in winter!) and I even use it as an eye make up remover! It is unscented, mild and refreshing. It contains herbal extracts like comfrey, organic aloe and oat. Alcohol free.

This cream has a light texture and is easily absorbed. Perfect for daytime use as it is not greasy so you can apply make up on almost right away. It is lightly scented but once applied, it doesn't leave a scent. I love it because ever since I started using it, I have noticed an improvement in my complexion. Any redness goes away and no dry patches during the day. What a relief! I had been looking for a product to offer all these qualities and to last throughout the day. This is it! I won't need to look for another day cream for the winter. It contains Greek organic olive oil, olive butter and borage oil.

Hera Intensive Face Lift Serum

This anti-aging serum is for all skin types. I was sceptical at first, but after trying a sample I knew I had to buy it. Let me start by saying that I only use it at night, before going to bed. It does wonders on your skin because you look more 'awake and refreshed' in the day. That's why I will keep buying it. It is quite fluid so you only need a few drops therefore it lasts you quite a while. The only thing I don't like is the scent. It is strong. Very strong. I find I can't use it during the day because it takes a while to get absorbed and when you're on the go you don't have the time.

This is available through their fresh bar products and is sold by weight. My little cup was 10 euros and lasts me all winter. I use it once a week. It has a light refreshing scent which is so pleasant. It is a restoring and hydrating mask perfect for an anti-aging regimen. It contains rose essential oil and a mix of others as well. Perfect for dry and mature skin types.

Hello ladies! Mascara is a must-have and something I use everyday! These were the mascaras I got in 2014. I also got a Maybelline "The Falsies Big Eyes Volume Express" which I reviewed in a previous post.

Cils Booster XL - Lancome

This was given to me last year to try by a friend. At first I loved it because it made my lashes even more impressive after applying any mascara on. It was a miracle. The novelty wore off after a couple of months. The product has a very short lifespan. It started getting clumpy in 2 months. I was not happy about that. I have not used it since.

Longest Lash Mascara - Jane Iredale

I got this mascara in the fall and I just started using it. What I like about it is that it's subtle and great to use for daytime make up. It can be worn at work and it looks 'natural'.It also has natural ingredients. I love the packaging and the fact that it isn't clumpy at all. The downside is that it's expensive.

Volumising Big Brush Mascara - Models Own

I had never tried anything by this brand before getting this in a subscription beauty box. I've been using it for a couple of weeks. Basically, it's your average black mascara and it has a nice brush. It applies well and has a nice effect. Nothing dramatic really.

Sumptuous Extreme Mascara - Estee Lauder

I bought this mascara in two shades: Extreme Brown and Black. The weird thing is that they're completely different in everything! I had gotten the black one in a gift with purchase bag and fell in love with it. Clearly the BEST mascara I've ever used. It applies well and the lashes do seem to get thicker and longer. It's outstanding! However, once I purchased it in brown, I was disappointed. There was no such effect. I don't know if the colour made the difference or the store I bought it from had previously opened it. Quite the mystery!

Ωστόσο όταν την αγόρασα σε καφέ χρώμα ήταν απογοήτευση! καθόλου όγκο και γενικά χάλια. Δεν ξέρω αν φταίει το χρώμα ή αν το είχαν ανοίξει πριν το πάρω. μυστήριο!

In Love with CAUDALIE 

Hello readers! I was excited to finally find and try this brand. Made with all-things-grape, it is a great choice for wine lovers!

Let me start off by saying that this little package is for normal to oily skin according to the package. However, having dry skin like mine, I felt it was gentle enough for me to use without drying my skin.  Having bought this, I got a bag full of samples and an appointment next month with the Caudalie Rep to get all the necessary info on all the products and try lots more.

Cleanser : This is a foaming cleanser, which is gentle, is perfect for the morning ritual when you're on the go and ideal for removing make-up at the end of the day. The scent is fresh and light. 

Exfoliant : I enjoy using a good scrub twice a week as I find it keeps the skin from becoming flaky and dry. Your skin feels and looks more refined. This is not too abrasive or harsh on the skin. I would strongly suggest a good moisturizer afterwards.

Mask: This mask is a purifying mask for oily and combination skin. For my dry skin, a hydrating mask would be a better choice. I will be using this in the summer when my skin is oily.

As I am addicted to lip balms and constantly buy them, I think reviewing the ones I own now was a good idea. In the cold winter weather it the product you can't be without.

Reve de Miel - Nuxe
I had seen this lip balm in dozens of blog reviews and κnew I had to try it and see what all the buzz is about. I have to agree that this product is amazing! It is THE lip balm to use during the cold winter months as it nourishes and soothes dry, chapped lips because it contains honey, shea butter and sweet almond oil. It also has a long lasting effect on the lips and you can easily apply lipstick on top.

Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain (Forever Pink) - Jane Iredale
While shopping at one of my favourite beautystores, I saw this product by the cash and was tempted to try it by the shop owner. It was an impulse purchase and the thing that attracted me was that the colour was a stain and not always the same when applied. It moisturizes the lips really well and I simply adore the shade of pink I get on my lips. You don't really need a lipstick on top. It contains avocado oil, jojoba seed oil and vitamin E.It is pricey for a lip balm, though.

Tinted Lip Balm (Pink Blossom) - Burt's Bees
Seeing my favourite film star wearing it on the cover of a fashion magazine was what brought this iconic product to my attention. Not only is the product effective, but also does everything it boasts as it contains shea butter, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil. It has natural ingredients and leaves a hint of colour. The tinted lip balm also comes in other shades and flavours.

Cocoa Butter Lip Care Stick - The Body Shop
Whenever you're in a mall, you have to visit the Body Shop. The fruity scent just draws you in. There are many lip balms available in an array of colours and flavours. The best, in my opinion, is the cocoa butter. It has a long lasting effect and moisturizes a lot without being sticky or annoying in any way. Contains; cocoa butter, coconut oil and sweet almond oil.

Another Greek brand I recently tried was Bioaroma. A company which is located in Crete, Greece. I tried it because it too was natural and the scent is yummy! It is so smooth! With olive fruit oil, shea butter and sweet almond oil.

Dalon Sports Lip Balm (Vanilla) - Biokal Cosmetics
I saw this product at the super market and decided to try it as it was a bargain. Available in many shades and flavours, I chose vanilla. It smells nice and is smooth. It moisturizes for hours as it contains vaseline.

Erato Repairing & Moisturizing hair wash - Fresh Line
Well I simply must say how much I love this shampoo. It really is amazing if you have dry hair. It lathers up nicely and smells good too. It's also available in solid form-I use that for travelling. Enriched with plant oils, herbal extracts and essential oils. www.freshline.gr

Grapeseed Glossing serum - The Body Shop
This product is really good for dry ends and taming frizzy hair. I find it makes the rest of the hair oily if applied. Using before blow drying is ideal as it detangles. It has an orangy smell which isn't too bad. www.thebodyshop.com

In the pink pressed blush - Lily & Lolo
I hadn't heard of this brand before trying it in a beauty subscription box a few months ago. I liked the deep pink colour of the blush and it applies well, however, the smell reminds me of a crayon! The brand doesn't use chemicals in its products which is what made me try it in the first place. i would still recommend it and will try more of the products. www.lilylolo.co.uk

The Falsies Big Eyes Volume Express mascara - Maybelline 
One of the best mascaras I have ever tried. It applies well and has a separate brush for the lower lashes which makes it handy for using all day to night. It really does give a false lash effect! Be careful to wipe off excess as it does get a bit clumpy. The effect is quite dramatic making it a highly recommended product and a must buy! www.maybelline.com

Deluxe Cashmere Lipstick stylo (DC23) - Flormar
This lipstick is long lasting and moisturizing according to the label. However, the lipstick didn't last that long and I felt like I should have applied lip balm beforehand. There is a variety in colours and the price is quite low making it an easy impulse purchase. www.flormar.com

Colour Crush Eyeshadow 225 Brownie & Clyde - The Body Shop
These are among my favourite eyeshadows out there. They are so easy to apply and get the effect you want. It can be applied lightly for a natural/nude look or for a more smoky effect use a wet brush or your finger! They are so fabulous and highly recommended.
