Nudestix Lip Products and Swatches

Hello everyone! I hope that Santa was good to everyone this year. I got some good gifts this year that were things I really needed. I did buy myself something for the holidays beforehand in the fall from Cult Beauty- One of my favourite websites for niche beauty brands.
I always have a wishlist with them and they have really good offers. There was an offer by Nudestix, buy 2 lip pencils and get a third free. I was running out of Mystic, which was the giveaway lip pencil, so I ordered to try out more products.

These are by far the BEST lip pencils for a natural look. They are easy to use and come in this cool black tin with a mirror and sharpener. They are not drying and feel almost like a lipstick. I like referring to them as a moisturizing lip pencil.

I also wanted to try out their new Intense Matte Lip + Cheek pencil. This one is even better. Since matte lipsticks are trending, I highly recommend trying these. They are fabulous! They aren't drying nor flakey and last hours! I bought Kiss. i really want to get Purity too but there is a waitlist so I guess I have to be patient.

Hello everyone! The temperature is dropping so it's time to hydrate our hair and renew our hair products.
Phyto is a company I recently discovered after reading coutless articles about it. Here are my thoughts on these two products I bought to try out.

Phytolisse Straightening Shampoo

This shampoo is recommended for unruly, frizzy hair and is quite effective. I love the scent and it foams up so nicely leaving your hair silky smooth. It does soften hair and help tame unruly hair. It contains Hibiscus and calendula flower extract with hydrating properties. I really do like this shampoo and plan to keep using it.

Phytodefrisant Botanical Straightening Balm

I recently bought this and have just started using it. It is a gel you apply onto damp hair before blow drying it to help straighten it. I have to admit I used it on dry hair first to see if it works and it did! I only used a small amount. As for using it on damp hair, I do recommend it. It helps make hair more manageable when blow drying it and the process is faster. If you're like me and hate the time it takes to blow dry hair, then this is for you.

Sephora haul

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while but my summer has been super busy. I did, however, find time to order some of my favourite products online through Sephora.com on the Canada site or buy them at their boutiques in Greece.
Sephora is one of my favourite stores/websites because of the variety of beauty brands available. Here is what I got this time.

LAURA MERCIER

I first tried out this brand last summer when I needed to buy a face powder. While walking around Sephora (In Carrefour Laval, Quebec) I saw a fabulous display of their products. It caught my eye and so I bought a face powder. I have been interested in this brand ever since.

Smooth Finish Foundation Powder 01

Using a face powder at the age of 40 is something to be careful with. If the product isn't efficient, you'll look a lot older. This product is worth every penny!!!! It is lightweight with a matte finish. It does cover up red spots and imperfections very well because of the yellow undertones giving you an even-tone complexion. It can be used wet or dry. I like using it with a brush for light coverage or over a foundation for the matte finish when I want more coverage. I love it because it reduces the appearance of lines and pores. I highly recommend it!! $56 CDN

Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour (Orchid Pink)

I bought this lip gloss at a store in Greece while on vacation. The rich colour and fabulous applicator are what attracted me to it. I don't usually buy lip glosses because I rarely use them. They are usually too sticky.
This product has a fantastic vivid colour to stand out with a rich pigmentation. I love that about it. I recommend using it alone if you like a rich glossy look or mixing it for a more sheer transparent look. It goes on with a shine and dries to a velvet colour finish. It has a lovely stain and lasts for about 4 hours. $34 CDN

Radiant Creamy Concealer (vanilla)- NARS

This is the second time I bought this concealer. I had bought it for the first time last year at Sephora with the Laura Mercier powder. It was the first time I had ever tried anything from NARS and was really looking forward to it after hearing rave review online. I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE this concealer!
It is FABULOUS!!!
It has medium to full coverage on any blemish or redness. It does everything: contours, highlights and corrects. I use it all over my face to highlight, cover up any dark under eye circles and redness. I use just my LM face powder on top and I'm ready!
No wonder it has received awards and is loved by so many! $36 CDN

YVES SAINT LAURENT 

Luxurious Mascara 4 purple

I love dark purple mascara! It's so hard to find so I decided to try the one by YSL a while back. This is the second time I buy it. The colour is dark enough to use alone or can provide a more dramatic look when applying more than one coat. It is quite popular and rightfully so. I recommend it because of the beautiful lashes it gives you, the rich colour and fabulous packaging! The only downside to it is that I have to finish it well under 6 months because it starts drying out afterwards. $37 CDN

Glossy Stain Lip Gloss 204 Onde Rose

I bought this at Sephora in Greece. I had seen this in every fashion magazine and beauty website getting rave reviews so I had to try it. I wanted a coral red lip gloss anyway and the packaging is divine. I have to say that this is the BEST lip gloss I have EVER bought. I highly recommend it because: it is NOT sticky at all, it is unscented and has a beautiful glossy natural look to it. It can be used alone for a sheer lip shine or over a lip pencil for a more formal look. I LOVE it! I highly recommend it. $40 CDN

Sunday shopping at NYX Thessaloniki

      

Hello everyone. I know it's been a while but I have been so busy. I am getting married and preparing everything has really been fun but time-consuming. I have had no time to go shopping for anything other than wedding stuff...and yes, I found THE dress.
Last time I was in Thessaloniki, I finally had time to go to NYX. I have wanted to go there for ages. Here is what I thought about it.

The Store

It was hard to find without the address to be honest. I had it with me thankfully. The selection is HUGE! There is something for every skin tone. I have to admit it felt like the products were too close together and I couldn't fully absorb it all. I took my time to look at everything as there was so much to look at. It was a bit hard as all the products are small. The prices are clearly marked and really affordable. That is a strong selling point.

The Service

I must admit the sales clerks were fantastic. There were lots of girls to help you out and serve you with a smile. They were knowledgeable and really willing to help you try out anything on your skin. The service was truly impeccable.

The Products

As I said there are tons of things. I wanted to buy a lipstick. I wanted a nice pink-mauve shade to wear for spring. Here's what I got:

I am now a loyal customer and will definitely visit whenever I'm in town. The products are affordable which is a huge plus for make up addicts!

Top 2 products for dull skin

Hello! I know it's been a while but I'm back. Today I will talk about 2 of my favourite skin care products out there which I picked up in Munich. Let me get started.

Tourmaline Charged Radiant Skin Refiner - Aveda

Although they are more famous for their hair care products, Aveda has fantastic skin care products too. I have been using this product for about 4 years now and I had to write about it because no matter which exfoliant I buy to try, I always come back to this product. It is an amazing product if you live in a place with harsh winters and your skin has become dull. Well, look no further than this product. It is a creamy, white clay-based scrub with bamboo extract and tourmaline. You use it on damp skin, massage it vigorously and then rinse. Use a cleanser afterwards. Aveda has a tourmaline base skin care line you could use. The Tourmaline Radiance Mask is incredible too. I highly recommend this product and this brand. I can't wait to try more from them.

Antioxidant moisturizer with White Tea - Origins

I already have a favourite face cream but I have always wanted to try this brand. While at Ludwig Beck, I came across the Origins products. I always read about brands online and the reviews so this was something I had to try. I tried a bit of this cream on my hand from the tester to see the texture and the smell. The White Tea was something  I knew to be soothing for sensitive skin and so I bought it.  The creamy,non-greasy texture and very subtle citrus scent make for a fantastic face cream which is now one of my favourite face creams. It also has antioxidant properties and hydrates the skin for hours. Suitable to use under foundation.

Chanel Les Beiges Blush

Hello! Munich Airport is like a huge luxury mall and is great to shop at. There are so many make up brands at the duty free and other smaller shops and stands around like MAC and Jo Malone. You can also find luxury brands for clothing and handbags like Burberry, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermes and much more.
 I bought a Longchamp Pliage in black and I couldn't help but notice the Chanel stand and the lovely Les Beiges Line. I saw this lovely cream-type blush in such a wonderful shade that I had to have it. The good news is that I had so many mileage points that I got it for free!
It's a coral, pink shade and is very subtle. The more you use, the more intense the colour. I use it as a blush but contouring is also something you can do with it. I love that they make it in a stick because it's so convenient.
The result is a bit like a porcelain doll and is wonderful with a pink lip gloss for a day look. It is odourless and the texture is not very creamy so it isn't messy to use. www.chanel.com

I was in Munich in the fall for a week and enjoyed shopping at various stores there. I bought some make up and skin care in the center of Munich and at the airport. These were some of the stores I went to. These were all near Marienplatz.

This was one of my favourite because it has a huge selection of skin care and cosmetic brands. They also carry some niche brands which are hard to find anywhere else.

This was a big department store in the center right next to Marienplatz. It has a great make up department with exclusive brands like Penhaligon's, Annick Goudal, Coudray and a really nice handbag section. You should check them all out when you're there.

Munich is a great city for shopping as it has every brand available in the downtown area. There are also many clothing shops and high end designer stores as well. After all, window shopping is fun and free!
